Forests offer great biodiversity The term 'biodiversity' means the diversity of plant and animal life in a particular habitat. Forests provide habitat to different types of organisms. Birds build their nests on the branches of trees, monkeys hang around from the branches, animals and birds live in the hollows of trees, insects and snakes crawl about on the ground. Herbivores like deer, zebra and giraffe can be seen munching leaves and grasses and carnivores like tigers, lions and cheetahs hunt these herbivores and eat them. The biodiversity found in forests is greater than any other ecosystem. Hence, the forest is full of life and vitality and is known as a dynamic living entity.(please someone explain me)
