Area of remaining sheet =

=Area of circle with radius 5cm - Area of circle with radius 3cm

= π5² - π3²

=π[5² - 3²]

=π[25 - 9]

=3.14 × 16

=50.24cm²

Concept used:-

First find the area with the initial radius, then find the area with the removed radius and subtract it from the initial radius's area.

Radius of circular sheet=5 cm

So, its area=πr²

=22/7×5²

=22/7×25

=550/7 cm²

Now, it is given that a circle of radius of 3 cm is removed.

So, the radius now=3 cm

So, its area=πr²

=22/7×3²

=22/7×9

=198/7 cm²

So, area of the remaining sheet=550/7 cm²-198/7 cm²

=352/7 cm²

=50.285 cm²
