Answer:

18000 and 14000

Step-by-step-explanation:

             ' Income = saving + expenditure '

Given,

ratio of their incomes is 9:7 and that of their expenditures is 4:3.  Each of them saves 2000 per month.

Let their expenditure be 4x and 3x respectively.

 ⇒ ratio of income = 9/7

 ⇒ income₁ / income₂ = 9/7

 ⇒ (saving₁ + expenditure₁)/(saving₂ + expenditure₂) = 9/7

 ⇒ (2000 + 4x)/(2000 + 3x) = 9/7

 ⇒ 7(2000 + 4x) = 9(2000 + 3x)

 ⇒ 14000 + 28x = 18000 + 27x

 ⇒ 28x - 27x = 18000 - 14000

 ⇒ x = 4000

Hence,

monthly income of 1st person = saving₁ + expenditure₁

                            = 2000 + 4x = 2000 + 4(4000)

                             = 18000

monthly income of 2nd person = saving₂ + expenditure₂

                            = 2000 + 3x = 2000 + 3(4000)

                             = 14000
