Given:

  • One zero ( α ) is 8.
  • Product of zeroes ( αβ ) is -56.

To Find:

  • Quadratic polynomial.

Solution:

❤ Product of zeroes = -56

↪ αβ = -56

↪ 8β = -56

↪ β = -56/8

β = -7

❤ Sum of zeroes = ?

↪ α + β

↪ 8 + (-7)

↪ 8 - 7

↪ 1

.°. Sum of zeroes = 1

As we know that,

Quadratic polynomial = x² - ( α + β)x + αβ = 0

[ Putting values ]

↪ Quadratic polynomial = x² - (1)x + (-56) = 0

Quadratic polynomial = x² - x - 56 = 0.
