Let Shefali’s marks in Mathematics be X. Then her marks in English are 30-X
Had she got 2 marks more in maths her marks would have been X+2
Had she got 3 marks less in English her marks would have been 27-X
According to question
(X+2)(27-X)
27X+54+-X2-2X
X2-25X+156= 0
X(X-13) -12(X-13)=0
(X-13)(X-12)= 0
X = 13 or. X= 12
Thus her marks in two subjects were 13 and 17 OR 12 and 18.
