 F_1 \times d_1 \times \cos{\theta_1} = F_2 \times d_2 \times \cos{\theta_2}

6 × cos 30° × 8 = F2 × cos 90° × 16
or, 48×0.866 = F2 × 16
or, 48×0.866/16 = F2
or, F2 = 2.6 N

The required force is 2.6 N.
