p(x) = x² + 2x - 5

Solution :

Given,

Roots of equation,

α = -2

β = -5

α + β = -2 - 5 = -7

αβ = (-2)(-5) = 10

p(x) = x² - (α + β)x + αβ

= x² - (-7)x + (10)

= x² + 7x + 10
