Subject: Awareness about the importance of road safety

Dear Editor

I am a resident of Geeta Apartments for the last 15 years and I am writing to you about an accident that I had witnessed while I was returning from school.  Near St. Lawrance High School, Nanded,  a child had fallen down and was injured badly after the incident. And I observed that nobody came to help and if some people came they did not know what to do in such a situation.

Many drivers, especially young people, love high pace driving and often flaunt traffic rules and regulations. These people get an adrenaline rush by driving beyond the speed limit and claim it to be thrilling and entertaining. However, at such high speed it becomes very dangerous and difficult to control the vehicle, thereby there are greater chances of accidents taking place. The road laws are also to be respected.

So, in my opinion it would be helpful if you can write an article in your esteemed daily about the importance of road safety.

Thanking you

Yours faithfully,

Kalpana Shah
