Respected Sir,

It is sadly stated that I sustained an injury on my leg over the weekend and will need time off from work for a full recovery. The incident took place over the weekend when some friends and I were driving home after a party; an unwitting driver took a sharp turn and knocked us off our motorbike. All of us sustained injuries. I have a sprained ankle and a swollen foot that does not leave me in a position to drive or ride a motorcycle at the moment.

The doctor has estimated the time of recovery to be at least one week, if not more. I shall report to duty at the earliest. If I push myself to work at the moment I will end up causing more harm than good.

Yours Truly,

Mr. Jonathan

Sub: Leave application request

Respected Sir,

I beg to state that I met an accident a day ago due to which I would not be able to come to office for two days. I and my friend were going home from office and we had a terrible accident and I got a severe leg injury. This leg injury has made me stick to the bed and not been able to move myself or do anything by myself. It has caused a lot of swelling, bruising and redness. My doctor has checked it and it looks like a compound fracture. He has instructed me to take complete rest.

It is my humble request to allow me leave for two days. Hopefully, I would be at office of 17th October 2019. I will complete my work load after I get back and would send emails to the clients from home. I shall be thankful for this favor.
