Hello,

I have to write a formal letter to WSPA( world society for the protection of animals) and IFAW(international fund for animal welfare) but I am not sure that my letter is correct I have never written a formal letter before. Could you please correct it?

My aim is to inform people about a terrible fact of shooting homeless animals. It is the government`s decision. It takes place in Batumi, Georgia. There are no shelters for them here.

Please help to stop the violence.

I think it sounds excessive. Should I use another word instead of "violence", and where should I place "please" to make the sentence polite.

I think there are mistakes in my questions too.
