Elderly Woman Saves Lives
Mumbai: Rishi Gautam, 78, a retired
teacher, rushed into a burning building
to rescue her neighbours trapped
inside. The elderly woman heard her
neighbours' screams for help and
rushed to their aid without a moment's
hesitation.

remains in critical condition.

the building but was soon engulfed
in flames herself. By then a crowd
had gathered; some of them saw her
Rishi's sister, Rashi, said, "She always
goes out of her way to help others. If
anyone we know needed something,
she would always be the first to
help. She'd give up her last rupee for
someone."
