Re: Complaint about disability discrimination – the Equality Act 2010
I am writing this letter of complaint because of difficulties that I experienced getting on the [N] bus at the [X stop] on [insert date]. I would like you to make your service more accessible to myself and other Disabled people who travel by bus. I believe you did not comply with your duties under the Equality Act 2010. This letter explains what went wrong and what I would like as an outcome of my complaint.
I am a Disabled person under the Equality Act 2010
I am a Disabled person within the meaning of Section 6 of the Equality Act 2010. [Describe your condition and its on your ability to travel. For example: “I’m a blind or visually impaired person. I do not see bus numbers and often rely on other people to guide me to the front door of the bus.”]

Subject: Over crowded bus.
Dear Sir,
It is with utmost concern that I am writing to you to bring to your attention about how the buses are plying especially around the route of bus number 123. The buses are always so crowded, with hardly any space to stand, let alone move towards the exit when it's time to disembark. Not only that, there are also several cases when students especially young teenage boys cling to the doors of the buses, which is extremely dangerous in case anything happens.
It would be a great help if you could try to increase the number of buses plying in this route so that the capacity will be normalized. Also, if there is made a certain type of rule where standing on the entrance of the bus or even hanging around the door is prohibited, so that no major problem comes.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Regards,
