would like to ask our citizens and our council if they would consider first asking for and then adapting a city ordinance for residents who have water wells.
Their wasting of water has become a problem in our neighborhood. The people who own these wells let their sprinklers run for hours. The water waste is enormous as water runs down the street for several blocks. Most neighbors in my neighborhood obey all city ordinances on water use which is well appreciated by the community.
Just because a resident has a well it does not give him the right to waste this precious gift from our earth. Maybe we, as a community, should take heed and look at California and Colorado. Their water is valued like gold.
