Sub: Science and technology is a perfect blueprint for

future

Sir:

I am writing to your good self to express my views on role

of science and technology in shaping India’s dynamic future. India is marching

steadily and surely towards advancement; to attain the status of an advanced

nation and to tackle future challenges of pollution, hostile neighubouring

countries, prosperity, growth, and stable economy, India must develop her

science and technology.

Bill Nye, a great American engineer has wisely said,

‘Science is the key to our future, and if you don't believe in science, then

you're holding everybody back.’ Self reliance in science and technology is the

first prerequisite for national progressp and development. Without it no nation

can dream of prosperity and freedom.

India should further develop science and technology in all fields

for a bright and secure future. Through the medium of your newspaper, I appeal to

people and Government to promote scientific and technological advancement, especially

among school and college students. Kindly give my views enough space in your

reputed daily. Thanking you.

Greetings,

In today's society, we see a drastic decrease in the healthiness of the state of the world. Today, there are hundreds and million tons of plastic that is wasted in today's society, which damages the fragile environment that we live in. Today, I wish to find out the role of not only the government, but also the scientific community on how to solve the problem with today's technology and scientific discovery. We know that plastic as a whole is detrimental to the environment, as they are hard to break down, and are choking hazards to many of the aqua life where most plastic end up in. For example, dolphin population has been in hazard because of the build up of plastic floating in the ocean, which usually is made out to be food by animals higher up in the food web. In the example provided, plastic bags could typically be seen as jellyfishes by dolphins, which would prove detrimental to the dolphins when eaten, as plastic cannot be consumed, and can cause the animal to choke. In an effort to combat the destruction of our fragile ecosystem, we must take action. Not only should we raise awareness, we should also do some of the dirty work too, such as sending out teams to collect trash found on beaches and waterfronts. By raising awareness, we hope that the general public would know the effects the destruction of plastic would have on not only the ecosystem of today, but also in the future. However, I believe technology and what we know today can help us build a more brighter future for our next generations. We can divert extra funds to the preservations of nature, and enact laws on littering, which can help decrease the pollution that occurs daily in our world.

The role science and technology can play on saving our world can have a large impact on the standard of living of the future, and what we do today, will have a profound impact on tomorrow. As science and technology continues to progress, I hope that it would help create our world to be a better place for the future.
