Eighteen-Year-Old College Student Saves Drowning Girl! Chiplun: 5th Nov., 2021: Eighteen-year-old college student Master Sahil Surve showed presence of mind and saved a drowning girl. The bay was on his way home on his cycle and was passing the bridge of Vashishthi river by 5 p.m. yesterday, after his college. He heard a cry for help and immediately stopped on the bridge and saw a 9-year-girl drowning in the river. He immediately jumped into the water and saved her life. The girl was taken to the city hospital in Chiplun. Sahil was praised for his act of bravery by the citizens of Chiplun and nearby villages.​

I just came across your name in the daily and was I am indeed very proud of you. You are a swimming champ for the past three years, and this time you have probably utilized your skill in the best possible way.  

It takes immense courage to put your life at risk but try to save someone. I read that the nine-year-old girl went to the river-side along with her parents but somehow got off-track. And, while returning from college, you heard her cry and rescued her from drowning.
