diary format would be as follows:

Tense Most frequently used- Simple past, Present perfect and future.

First person application.

Steps

Write the date, day and time, then start with Dear Diary (as diary is like a friend).

Begin the entry with general sentence describing the day or momentary feelings.

In the body, you may discuss an event, your feelings towards it. How it is likely to affect your future plans.

Dear diary,

Dear diary,

I woke up in the morning and ran to have my breakfast. I put a toast in my mouth and ran to wear my dress. I wore it and ran to school waving a huge bye to parents. And when I went to my school, there were no one. I was confused.. And I ran here and there.. When I went to my grade I saw it was dark when I turned on the light there were everyone hiding under the benches. And they shoutedhappy \: \: birthday \: \: samI was astonished! And whoa! It's my birthday..! They cut the cake. And they celebrated my birthday happily. When I went home there was a surprise hiding.. And I enjoyed the surprise very much. We went to a restaurant and had a finger licking dinner. And I returned back home and started looking at my gifts. I was very happy.

Sam.
