SHORT NOTE ON OZONE :-

  • Ozone is made up of three atoms of Oxygen while ordinary Oxygen is made up of only two. The formation of ozone takes place in the upper atmosphere when an oxygen molecule is broken down into two atoms by ultraviolet radiation and the free unstable atoms other oxygen molecules forming tri-atomic ozone (O₃) gas.
