Fluorine (F) atomic no. =9, electronic configuration =2,7 and valency =1

Then Lewis dot structure :

Ca.. + .... F... + .... F... = .. ...F.. . Ca . .. F.....

2 F atoms of configuration 2,7 contributes 1 election each and 1 Ca atom of valency 2,8,8,2 contributes 2 electrons. All the electrons are mutually shared between the atoms and results in the formation of CaF2 molecule
