Formation of clouds is usually a physical change:

  • Since, the clouds are nothing but a gaseous phase of water that is found naturally.
  • The state of cloud is partially cold gas which was hot earlier when the process of evaporation had taken place and the water from the surface of Earth evaporated toward the sky.
  • Water has evaporated and cold in form of clouds have different shapes for sizes and there is no particular way or method by which the clouds have the shapes.
  • They have the clouds are filled with gaseous phase of water, as the property of cloud is very similar to that of water.
  • Since under any state there is no chemical change in properties of water, hence formation of clouds also has the same property as that of water and hence it is a temporary physical change.
