Yes, formation of curd is an irreversible as well as an chemical change because milk can be converted into curd by adding one spoon of curd to hot milk and keep it aside for 4-5 hours, but curd can not be converted into milk again.

Due to the lactobacillus bacteria  the curd formation takes place . Its formaion is irreversable & a chemical change because once the curd is formed , we cannot seperate the substances from it .
