Mountains are formed when two tectonic plates collide each other. Through which the collided area rises up (due insufficient space) and thus forms high levelled plains.

This concludes, that Himalayas are formed through this action.

Good morning dear......

In ancient time about millions and millions of years ago, there was a Gondawana land, due to conventional current inside the earth,it broke up into two lands - Pangea and Angara land. The plates of these land come nearer day by day and formed tents sea. After the formation of tents sea,the plates came nearer and formed convergent boundary which uplift the materials present in the tethys sea and thus Hinalaya was formed
