FORMATION OF NO2 FROM 02

FROM N2 AND 02 :

Nitric oxide (NO) is formed by the reaction of nitrogen and oxygen. Nitric oxide is oxidized to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) which in turn reacts with water to give nitric acid (HNO3).

Nitrogen oxides therefore react with water to form nitric acid (HNO3). Nitrogen and Oxygen do not react at ambient temperatures.

It's called "Nitrogen reaction".
