Answer:

here is your solution dear....

given, f= –12 cm... means it is focal length of concave mirror (- ve focal)

u =–36cm

h°=2cm

v =image distance =?

hi=image height =?

from mirror formula

1/f =1/ u +1/ v

1/v = 1/f – 1/u

v= fu/(u-f)

Now putting the values....

v=(-12)(-36)/[-36-(-12)]

v= —18 cm

Image is formed at a distance of 18cm from pole in same side of mirror as of obj...

now.. for concave mirror

magnification, m=hi/ho=(-v) /u

so... hi/2= —(–18)/(–36)

hi/2= –2=======>hi=–1cm.......

so image is diminished, inverted and real, formed between focus and center in same side....

hope this helps you....
