Answer:

A polynomial is a algebraic expression with non negative integral powers.

ex: 2x+5y+7;2x^2+3 etc .

Some of the important formulae related to polynomials:-

1)if f(x) a polynomial divided by x-a then f(a) will be the remainder.this is known as remainder theorem

2)if the remainder obtained is 0 then we can say that x-a is the factor of f(x) . this is factor theorem

We can factorise the given polynomials with the following identities:-

1) (a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab

2)(a-b)^2=a^2+b^2-2ab

3) a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)

4)(a+b)^3=a^3+b^3+3ab(a+b)

5)(a-b)^3=a^3-b^3-3ab(a-b)

6)a^3+b^3=(a+b)(a^2-ab+b^2)

7)a^3-b^3=(a-b)(a^2+ab+b^2)

8)a^3+b^3+c^3-3abc= (a+b+c)(a^2+^2+c^2-ab-bc-ca)

The formula for which we can factorise a quadratic polynomial if not able to use identities=-b+or-√b^2-4ac/2a

where a b and c are the numerical coefficients of the polynomial.
