The avg. of any observed data

 =  \frac{sum \: of \: observed \: data}{number \: of \: observations}

So, \: sum \: of \: all \: natural \: numbers  =  \:  \frac{n(n + 1)}{2}
Where, n is the total number of natural numbers.

Therefore, \: the \: avg. \: of \: n \: natural \: numbers \: is \\  =  \frac{ \frac{n(n + 1)}{2} }{n}  \\  \\  =  \frac{n(n + 1)}{2n}  \\  \\  =  \frac{n + 1}{2}
