The formula of C.S.A (curved surface area) of a cylinder is 2\pi   r h

The cylinder consists of two circles as the base and top.

Circumference of circle is

2\pi r

Let the height of cylinder be (h)

So the C.S.A is

2\pi r \times h

= 2\pi rh
