perimeter of triangle = sum of all three sides
perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

Like any polygon, the perimeter is the total distance around the outside, which can be found by adding together the length of each side.

So perimeter of triangle=Sum of all 4 sides

                           rectangle=Sum of 4 side i.e. length+breadth+length+breadth

                                            =2(length+breadth)
