Pythagoras stated a theorem for finding the length of side of right angled triangle...

According to that theorem,

Hypotenus²= Base² + Height²

Or, +=

For example, If a right angle have base = 5cm and height = 4cm, then if we have to find the hypotenus

So, Hyp²= Base² + Height²

Then, Hyp²= +

Hyp²= 25 + 16

Hyp²= 36

Then hyp = 6cm

In the same way, you can find any side of a right angled triangle if two other sides are given.

HAVE A NICE DAY!
