write the equation of a line given a point on the line and the slope of the line, by using the point-slope formula, which states that given a point (x1, y1) and aslope m, the equation of the line can be written as
y - y1 = m(x - x1).

If a line passing through the points (x1,y1) & (x2,y2) and its slope is M then M=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) or M=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
