Let's use this formula with an example -

Q. Find the Volume of the Cylinder having base 10.5 cm i.e. 21/2 cm and height 18cm.

Solution ;-

Given ;

• Radius (r) = 21/2 cm

• Height (h) = 18 cm

To find the volume of the given cylinder ;-

We know that ,

Volume of the Cylinder = {πr²h} cubic units.

 = > (\frac{22}{7} \times \frac{21}{2} \times \frac{21}{2} \times 18) \: cm^{3}

=> 6237 cm³
