The formula for the circumference of a circle of radius R is 2*Pi*R. A simple calculus check reveals that the latter is the derivative of the former with respect to R. Similarly, the volume of a ballenclosed by a sphere of radius R is (4/3)*Pi*R3.

The volume of sphere is just 2/3 the volume of a cylinder. Remember, the formula for the volume of a cylinder is π r2h. π is pi, which we can approximate to 3.14. 'r' is the radius, and 'h' is the height of the cylinder.
