1)If lengths of base and height are given,

Then, area of triangle

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height

2)If lengths of sides are given

 s = a + b + c where a,b and c are sides

Area of triangle

 =  \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}
