displacement equals to original velocity multipled by time plus half the acceleration multiplied with square of time.
d=vt +1/2 at^2

Hello!!

Displacement is a shortest distance between initial and final point which prefers straight line path over curved paths. 

it equals the original velocity multiplied by time and one half the acceleration multiplied by the square of time.

Thus , the formula for displacement is
d = vt + 1\2 at²
