Solutions :-
Given :
Forty five cartons are required to pack 9000 books.
Find the number of cartoons required to pack one book :-
By unitary method,
9000 books = 45 cartoons
1 books = 45/9000 = 0.005 cartoons
Here,
1200 books increased. Therefore,
Total books = (9000 + 1200) = 10200 books.
Find the number of cartoons required to pack 10200 books :-
By unitary method,
1 books = 0.005 cartoons
10200 books = 10200 × 0.005 = 51 cartoons
Now,
45 cartoons = 9000 books
51 cartoons = 10200 books
So,
51 - 45 = 6 cartoons
10200 - 9000 = 1200 books
Hence,
6 more cartoons are required.
