Tradition are the values which pass on as a process from one generation to another. Traditions are the beliefs, culture and custom of our country .People who are narrow minded often feel that the younger generation should go by the tradition, while other people feel that they should act freely.
Our youth is creative and innovative .Therfore, I feel that ,traditions are a waste of time for youth nowadays. The time which they can invest in creating and discovering something new , is all in engaged in knowing about these. Youngsters follow Western food and style and are forgetting their traditional food and lifestyle.
For our youth, in this age of globalization, they should get an equal chance of expressing themselves freely. Instead of trying something which is considered adventurous .They give deaf ears to their elders and so for the tradition is a waste.
The best way to keep alive the tradition is practice. Yes, the youth consider traditions as a waste but we need to teach them their importance and vitality in their lives.

According to me ,it is incorrect to say that the entire youth disrespect their traditions, cultures and values today. Today also , youth value their cultural heritage and respect others who are leading an old lifestyle.
Some of our youth keep themselves attached to their cultures and and love to carry forward those old values and keep them burning like candles.
Still we find our youth who prefer wearing traditional attire over the western attires especially at family get-together functions and festivals. And , the traditions are followed in the same pattern with great pomp and fun.
One-third of the world’s population, have the greater responsibility to uphold these traditional values. We should follow the ideals professed by saints like Gautam Buddah.
All don't know, but still our Young generation have realised the value of their cultures and traditions. Some of them even are working towards popularizing the same in other nations.
