Fossil fuels are formed due to the burial of plant and animal debris. How can you account for the fact that 50 feet of plant debris can accumulate in water that is only a few feet deep

There are many reasons..

when there is a high pressure of water the tree would fell down..

and can flow with water sooner with the soil would it up and it can get burried..

the tree can be broke up by the force wind or storm during flood or flow of water it can go..
