Let x be the number.

Given, 1/2 * 1/3 * 1/6 * x =1/12 * x

            1/36 x + 4 = 1/12 x

            x + 144 = 3x

            144 = 3x - x

            144 = 2x

            x = 72.

The number is 72.

Answer:

Required number is 72.

Explanation:

Let the number be x .

one-twelfth of the number = x/12

one-sixth of a number = x/6

of one-third of one-sixth of a number =(1/3).(x/6)

half of one-third of one-sixth of a number = (1/2)(1/3)(x/6)

                                                                     =x/36

Four added to half of one-third of one-sixth of a number=(x/36)+4

According to the question,

(x/36)+4 = x/12

(x/12)-(x/36) = 4

(x/18)=4

x=72

Hence the required number is 72.
