The correct answer is the option B.
Rs. 12,000

Solution....

SI=P×R×T/100

Time=8/12 months.

1280=P×16×4/100×6

1280×100×6/16×4=P

12,000=P..answer

Hope it helps (。’▽’。)♡

Option ( B ) is correct.

Explanation :

Let Principal = P

Rate of interest ( R ) = 16%

Time ( T ) = 8 months=( 8/12 ) years

T = 2/3 years

_______________________

Simple interest ( I ) = ( PTR )/100

________________________

P = ( 100 × I )/( TR )

= ( 100 × 1280 )/[ ( 2/3 ) × 16 ]

= ( 100 × 1280 × 3 )/( 2 × 16 )

= Rs 12000

Therefore ,

Principal ( P ) = Rs 12000
