Given:

P, Q, R, and S are the 4 balls and thrown with equal velocities at angles of 10°, 30°, 45°, and 60° respectively.

To Find:

Which ball will fall at the maximum distance?

Solution:

The maximum distance covered is also known as a range(R).

R = u²sin2θ/g ---------- (1)

The above equation is maximum when sin2θ = 1

2θ = sin⁻¹(1)

2θ = 90°

θ = 45°

Hence, The maximum distance is covered by R at an angle of 45°.
