A and B are acidic, C is neutral and D is basic.
- In the pH paper, the acidic range lies below 7.
- The neutral range lies at pH 7.
- The basic range lies above pH 7 to pH 14 in pH paper.
- Here solution A has pH 5 so, it is acidic.
- Solution B has pH 6 so, it is acidic.
- Solution C has pH 7 so, it is neutral.
- Solution D has pH 8 so, it is basic.
- Hence A and B are acidic, C is neutral and D is basic.
