A with pH value 5 is less acidic in nature, B with pH value 6 is least  acidic in nature, C with pH value 7 is neutral hence niether it is acidic nor basic. Last,D with pH 8 is least basic is nature.

ManishMamnani: A and B are acidic, C is neutral and D is basic

A and B are acidic, C is neutral and D is basic.

  • In the pH paper, the acidic range lies below 7.
  • The neutral range lies at pH 7.
  • The basic range lies above pH 7 to pH 14 in pH paper.
  • Here solution A has pH 5 so, it is acidic.
  • Solution B has pH 6 so, it is acidic.
  • Solution C has pH 7 so, it is neutral.
  • Solution D has pH 8 so, it is basic.
  • Hence A and B are acidic, C is neutral and D is basic.
