Given:

Four candidates in a panchayat election received 526, 1132, 5432 and 2400 vote respectively.

We have to find, the winning votes percentage.

Solution:

Total votes received by all candidate = 526 + 1132 + 5432 + 2400

                                                                = 9490

Clearly, winning candidate is received = 5342 votes

∴ The winning votes percentage = \dfrac{Total votes}{Winning candidate votes} \times 100

= \dfrac{5432}{9490} \times 100 %

= 57.23 %

Thus, the required option is "B) 57.23".
