Out of which 13 are spade, 13 are hearts, 13 are diamond and the remaining 13 are club.
The 3 diamonds we get can be any one out of the 13. The 1 spade we get can be any one of the 13.
So the total no. of cards we would get be 13 + 13 = 26.
Total no. of outcomes = 52
No. of outcomes favourable to E = 26
P(E) = No. of outcomes favourable to E / Total no. of outcomes
P( 3 diamonds and 1 spade ) = 26 / 52
= 1 / 2
