     The characteristics of anarchism are:

  1. Self-ownership- people do not necessarily have to join a social group but rather it should be their choice, they are the owner of themselves and no social group can take on their power.
  2. Self-governing: They believe that an individual is capable of governing themselves.
  3. Voluntary association- The government and a similar body can only be established with a free- association.
  4. Nihilism- Anarchism believe in nihilism which means they believe that life has no meaning.
