Let the side length of the square be 'a' .

  • In ACD ,

\implies AD² + CD² = AC²

\implies a² + a² = AC²

\implies AC =  \sqrt{2a}

  • In DOC ,

\implies OD² + OC² = CD²

\implies OC²+ OC² = a²

\implies OC = \bf\frac{9}{\sqrt{2}}

\:

Force on charge at C due to D ,

  • \bf{F_2=}{\frac{KQ²}{a²}}

Force on charge at C due to A ,

  • \bf{F_4=}{\frac{KQ²}{AC²}} = {\frac{KQ²}{2a²}}

Force on charge at C due to q ,

  • \bf{F_3}{\frac{KqQ}{OC²}} = {\frac{2KqQ}{a²}}
