The area of the paper that is left is 80.94 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of rectangle = 11 inches

Width of the rectangle = 8.5 inches

Area of the rectangle = 11 × 8.5 = 93.5 inches²

Diameter of a circular hole = 2 inch

Radius of circular hole r = 1 inch

Area of a circular hole cut = πr²

                                           = 3.14 × 1 × 1

                                           = 3.14 inches²

Area of four circular holes = 4 × 3.14 = 12.56 inches²

Area of the paper left

= Area of rectangle - Area of circular hole

= 93.5 - 12.56

= 80.94 inches²

Hope this answer is helpful.
