A 2, 8, 6
B 2, 8, 8
C 2, 8, 8, 1
D 2,1

Explanation:

a) When element C combines with element D, an ionic bond is formed between the two by transfer of one electron from element C atom to element D atom

b) The inert gas is element B as it consist of eight electrons in its valence shell  which also means that it consists of a full valence shell

c) The formula of the compound between A and C will be AC2. Since element A needs two electrons to complete its octet, the two atoms of element C donate their two atoms to element A to stabilize.
