square side = 14 cm
diameter of circle = 14/2 cm
= 7 cm
radius of circle = 7/2 cm
= 3.5 cm
area enclosed by circle = area of square - area of 4 circles
= 14 × 14 cm2 - 4 × pi × r × r
= 196 cm2 - 4 × 22/7 × 7/2 × 7/2 ( simplify )
= 196cm2 - 22 × 7
= 196 - 154 cm2
= 42 cm2
