when u will draw the 4 circles such that each circle will be touching the other 2 circles externally then u'll see the radii of these 4 circles will form square of side 2a and the area of the square formed will be 2a*2a i.e 4aa. u will see the 4 quadrants in 4 corners of square and we have to find the between these 4 quadrants so =(area of square)-(area of 4 quadrants) =4aa-4*90/360*22/7*aa =4aa-22aa/7 =(27aa-22a)/7 =6aa/7
