(1) Plasma membrane is semi-permeable or selectively permeable.
(2) Plasma membrane is mainly made up of protein & lipids, where proteins are floating freely in the two layers of bipolar phospho-lipids. Thus the form of the membrane is changing - so it is called 'Fluid Dynamic Mosaic Model' by Singer & Nicolson.
(3) Endocytosis can occur through Plasma membrane unlike cell wall.
(4) Plasma membrane is a living membrane unlike the cell wall.
