The heart has four chambers: two atria and two ventricles. The right atrium receives oxygen-poor blood from the body and pumps it to the right ventricle. The right ventricle pumps the oxygen-poor blood to the lungs. The left atrium receives oxygen-rich blood from the lungs and pumps it to the left ventricle.

Hey mate here you go..

1) It pumps the oxygenated blood to all parts of the body via the arteries.

2) It pumps the de-oxygenated blood into the lungs for oxydation ( removal of carbon dioxide) via the veins.

3) Heart has four chambers it keeps the oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood separate and makes sure that it do not get mixed.

Hope it will help you .

Thank you.
